Malcolm takes his class to a local climate conference, where they delve into the threats to the environment, wildlife, and human civilization posed by the rapidly changing climate. Discussions at the conference touch on the political complexities of climate change and the risks faced by journalists. The impact on indigenous communities, especially those affected by a warming planet, is also explored.

On their way home, Malcolm receives a call from Matin, an activist in the Brazilian rainforest, who is facing trouble with a local gang. As The Urban Legend, Malcolm teams up with the indigenous people to rescue Matin and drive the bandits off their ancestral land.
